Opening WSL fixtures to be revealed

Season scheduled to kick off on September 5-6.

The women's team will find out their first two fixtures this Friday.

The Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL) will reveal the first two fixtures for the new season on Friday at 11am.

Hope Powell’s side return to league action the weekend of 5-6th September, the 2019/20 campaign having come to an early close due to Covid-19.

Albion already know that last season’s FA Cup will be completed with a home quarter-final against Birmingham City due which is due to take place on the weekend of September 26-27.

The squad have been based at the National Football Centre at St Georges Park for a training camp this week and are due to face Championship side Leicester City on Friday in a pre-season friendly.

Having finished the last WSL campaign in ninth, Powell has added a number of experienced players to her squad including South Korea international Lee Geum-min, former AC Milan midfielder Nora Heroum and Dutch international Inessa Kaagman.
