Albion have today launched a Twitter account to keep fans up to date on the latest news and content for the women’s and girls’ set-up.
The first tweet was sent at 10am this morning to announce the signing of Finland international Nora Heroum from Italian side AC Milan.
Albion join the rest of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and Championship clubs who have a standalone women’s account and, as the game continues to grow, it is important to give the team a platform where supporters can interact with the club and all the important news can be seen in one place.
Head coach Hope Powell welcomed the news. She said, “I think it will really help us. As we know social media is what the young players live on and people will be able to see what we are about. It will help the club in terms of the women’s section really grow.”
