Dean Hammond celebrates a goal against Crewe in 2005 in the pale blue and white kit

When was your first game? What was the score?

My first game was back in 2005 and it was a 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forrest.

What can you remember about the game?

It was pouring with rain and Leon Knight missed a penalty. I remember Leon telling the goalkeeper where is was going and the keeper dived to where Knight said he was going to put it and he saved it!

Who was your first Albion idol?

It’s between three. Kazenga LuaLua, Dean Cox and Nicky Forster but I would have to go with Nicky. I was devastated when he left.

What is your favourite Albion game and why?

The 3-1 win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. It had had everything. Balogun scoring with his first touch and Andone’s solo goal. What a night.

Which season stands out as your favourite?

Our promotion season in 2016/17. Not only because of the fact we got promoted to the Premier League but because we came so close the season before and it was going to be interesting to see if it had an effect on the players in a good or a bad way. We can see now that it affected them in a great way!

Which are your favourite Albion home and away shirts?

My favourite home shirt is the 2004/05 light blue and white shirt. I just liked it because of the light blue. If was something different. My favourite away kit it the 2009-10 red and black kit. I thought the black and red worked well and it was beautiful.

What is your all-time Albion XI?

Kuipers, Bruno, Dunk, Elphick, Bong, Cox, Bridcutt, Propper, LuaLua, Murray, Zamora.
