Albion exited at the quarter-final stage to Dwight McNeil and Burnley in the first phase of the tournament just over a week ago, and now it’s the Irishman’s chance for a shot at ePL glory.
Connolly is in confident mood ahead of the competition, and is looking forward to giving the fans something to cheer on a football field in these testing times
He said, “It’s difficult for everyone at the moment without football, so tournaments like these are the next best thing.
“I saw some of the competition a few weeks ago and there were some strong players, but I think I can do well.
“We’re all finding it strange at the moment with no football, but hopefully I can do well in this tournament.”

Key players…
Albion’s Connolly has enjoyed a fine season to date, making his senior debut for both club and country. The striker notched twice in the memorable 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the Amex back in October, and will be looking to get on the scoresheet once more this afternoon.
Morgan Gibbs-White will provide tough opposition for the Albion forward, with fellow Wolves teammate Diogo Jota having won the first phase of the competition for the Molineux club last time out.
How to watch…
The game will be streamed live on the Sky Sports YouTube channel – fans will be able to follow the action both there and on our social media channels.
