What was your first game and what do you remember about it?
My Dad took me to see us play Portsmouth at the Goldstone in 1992. I don’t remember much as I was only three at the time but we won 2-1 and I’ve still got the programme stashed away with the rest of my collection from every Albion game since.
Who is your favourite Albion player?
When I really started enjoying the games my idol was goalkeeper Mark Ormerod. At the time I fancied myself between the sticks and I’ll never forget that first green goalie shirt I got with the No.1 on the back.
What has been your favourite Albion game?
The League One play-off final win in Cardiff sticks out as one of the best experiences - the travel down, the pre-game banter and the celebrations after Leon Knight’s penalty secured us promotion and sent us all into delirium.
What’s been your favourite season following the club?
Most people will pick the season we got promoted into the Premier League, but I enjoyed the previous season 2015/16 more. So much to fight for, we never left the top three all season and to be involved in such a nail-biter right to the last game was incredible. Unfortunately there was no promotion, but we would have our revenge the following year.
What have been your favourite home and away shirts?
Home shirt - 1999/2000. The familiar blue and white stripes but the first appearance of the ‘Skint’ logo, which was always a talking point with other fans.
Away shirt - The yellow shirt in 2013/14 my favourite. It was the first long sleeved shirt I bought and it kept me warm on many a cold away trip. Who can forget Leo Ulloa’s header against Forest which sent us into the play-offs in the yellow shirt?
All-time Albion XI:
Kuipers, Mayo, Cullip, Greer, Bruno, Knockaert, Oatway, Stephens, Hart, Zamora, Murray.
