Albion in the Community suspends delivery

Statement from the club's charity partner.

Albion in the Community is implementing a number of measures and precautions to minimise the risk of participants, their families, our staff and the wider community being impacted by the coronavirus.

Unfortunately, this means the club’s charity partner is suspending all of their activities in the community until further notice.

This is not a decision the charity has taken lightly and has done so in consultation with the club, the Premier League, other partner organisations and in light of the FA’s recommendation that all grassroots football be cancelled and the government’s guidance on avoiding all unnecessary social contact.

The charity will continue to monitor government and Public Health England updates and will review our decision at such time as government advice changes.

We appreciate the cancellation of delivery will be frustrating for many of the thousands of people the charity supports on a regular basis, but we hope people appreciate why we have taken this decision.

The health and wellbeing of AITC participants has always been, and will remain, the club and charity’s main consideration.

AITC teams will also be looking to identify other ways we can continue to support some of the most-vulnerable people we work with during this challenging time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
