Leo Ostigard celebrates Saturday's derby win.

Having beaten their arch-rivals by the same scoreline on home soil in the 102nd meeting between the two sides back in September, goals from Henk Veerman and Matt Penney sealed another impressive derby victory.

Ostigard played the entire 90 minutes as the visitors kept their fifth clean sheet of the season, while Gyokeres was an unused substitute.

Leon Balogun and Jayson Molumby came head-to-head in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday as Wigan Athletic met Millwall at the DW Stadium, and it was the former who came out on top, with the hosts claiming a 1-0 victory.

The three points was Balogun’s first with the Latics after joining Paul Cook’s men on loan until the end of the season. Shaun Hutchinson’s own goal was the difference between the two teams.

Molumby and Millwall host Birmingham City on Wednesday night in their next game, while Balogun and Wigan head to Reading.

In the same division, Christian Walton and Blackburn Rovers drew 2-2 with Brentford at Griffin Park to keep them eighth in the table and just five points off the play-off places – Tony Mowbray’s men are next in action at home to Stoke City on Wednesday evening.

Ben White and Leeds United were 1-0 winners over Reading on Saturday at Elland Road. Marco Bielsa’s men are second and head to Teeside to take on Middlesbrough on Wednesday.

Elsewhere in England’s second tier, Matt Clarke and Derby County played out a 1-1 draw with Fulham on Friday night in front of the Sky Sports cameras. Clarke and the Rams take on QPR at Loftus Road on Tuesday night.

In League One, Robert Sanchez and Rochdale were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline at home to Coventry City.

Further afield in Europe, George Cox and Fortuna Sittard went down 2-1 away from home to third placed Feyenoord and stay 15th in Holland’s top flight as a result. Meanwhile, young central defender Kasper Lopata and Zaglebie Sosnowiec drew 3-3 away to Ruch Chorzow in a friendly.

In non-league, Carl Rushworth continued his impressive form for Worthing as he saved penalty in a 0-0 draw away to Kingstonian in the Isthmian Premier League Division. It keeps the Rebels six points clear at the top of the table.
