Lionesses head to Amex in Euro 2021

With 500 days to go until the Women's European Championships kick off on 7th July 2021, UEFA have unveiled more information on the tournament schedule, including the date for England's match at the Amex. 

The hosts have already been placed in Group A in the 16-team event and will play their opening match at Old Trafford on 7th July.

They then head to Brighton to play their second group game on Monday 12th July at the Amex.

The Amex, which is one of nine venues for the tournament, will host a second group A match on Friday 16th July and the first of the quarter-finals, which will take place on Wednesday 21st July when the Group A winners will play the Group B runners-up.

The final is scheduled for Wembley Stadium on Saturday 1st August.

The draw for the finals is due to take place on 6th November, after the nine qualifying groups are concluded. England have a bye into the finals.

The nine group winners and the three runners-up with the best record against the sides first, third, fourth and fifth in their section qualify directly. The other six runners-up will play off for the remaining three finals slots.
