It will be the third meeting between the two teams this season, after United came out on top with a 4-0 win at Leigh Sports Village in the reverse fixture.

But it was a much closer affair in last month’s Continental League Cup quarter-final at the same venue, when Albion were narrowly beaten 2-1 and produced an encouraging performance.

The two teams also faced off against each other in cup competition last season, when Albion recorded an emphatic 5-1 win over Palace in a Continental League Cup group stage encounter.
