Alireza Jahanbakhsh has won the Performance of the Month award for January.

The midfielder beat off competition from teammates Leandro Trossard and Bernardo to claim the award, following his stunning bicycle kick against Chelsea in the 1-1 draw with Frank Lampard's men on New Year's Day at the Amex Stadium.

The Iranian, who also netted Albion's fastest-ever Premier League goal for the Seagulls against Eddie Howe’s side the Saturday before in the 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth on the south coast, received 80% of the vote for his equaliser against the Blues on the first day of 2020.

Jahanbakhsh’s stunning strike cancelled out a 10th minute opener for Chelsea, and the midfielder's second goal for the Seagulls goal rightly stole the headlines on a memorable afternoon.
