Albion and Brighton & Hove Buses paid tribute to Jacob Schilt and Matt Grimstone.

Matt and Jacob tragically lost their lives in the Shoreham air disaster, and their parents were present at the Amex alongside Albion executive director Martin Perry, to see the buses for the first time.

Matt’s and Jacob’s parents, Caroline and Bob Schilt and Sue and Phil Grimstone, said, “The new Albion buses in memory of Matt and Jacob make us very proud that those two young men were held in such high regard by Brighton & Hove Albion.

“We are so grateful to both the football club and Brighton and Hove Bus Company for keeping their memories alive.

“The design and the attention to detail is impressive and we are reminded of the immense support from the football family every time we see them around the town. We feel very honoured to be a part of raising awareness of Albion in the Community and to have Jacob and Matt’s names associated with such a great cause.”

Brighton & Hove Buses’ managing director, Martin Harris said, “We are pleased to continue to honour the lives of both men on the Albion buses; as well as acknowledging the great work Albion in the Community does with young people in need in the city."
