The 22-year-old Reading player has signed until 30th June, and spoke about how a chat with England legend Fara Williams helped convinced her to sign for the Seagulls.

She said, “I really want to play football regularly, and hope I get the chance to do that here. I’m very excited.

“Fara, who plays at Reading, knows Hope very well. I heard a lot of stories about her and knew that she was a very good coach. It will be great to work with her.”

The winger spoke about her strengths as a player and is hopeful of making a big impact at the attacking end of the pitch.

“I’m a winger that’s very fast, so that is my biggest strength. I like one-v-ones and I’d like to contribute with a number of assists and goals,” she said.

“Hopefully I can get my first game against Aston Villa in the FA Cup this weekend.”

Meet Maxime Bennink!

Bennink has previous experience of playing in the Netherlands with FC Twente and PEC Zwolle and is looking forward to linking up with a familiar face in Danique Kerkdijk.

She added, “It’s more of a physical game here compared to the Netherlands, where there is more of a passing style. But the level of play here is definitely higher in England.

“I know Danique after playing with her at FC Twente and I’m sure she will help me settle in.”
