Sophie Harris has joined Lewes on a season-long loan deal.

Harris will now link up with Simon Parker’s team for the remainder of the campaign.

Manager Hope Powell said, “Sophie has made excellent progress during her time at the club, but the arrival of Cecilie Fiskerstrand means competition for game time has increased significantly.

“This move allows her to play regularly at a very competitive level in the Women’s Championship, and continue training with us on a day-to-day basis.

“She continues to be the ultimate professional and we will continue to monitor Sophie’s progress very closely. We wish her all the very best for the remainder of the season.”

Harris arrived at Albion in July 2018 ahead of the club’s first season in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.

The 25-year-old made nine appearances during her debut campaign at the club, and won the FAWSL Player of the Month award for February.

The shot-stopper has featured six times in all competitions this season, which included the penalty shootout victory over Arsenal in the Continental League Cup.
