Simon Rusk’s men sit fifth in the table ahead of tonight’s contest with the Lancashire side, and drew 0-0 with Valencia in the Premier League International Cup in their last outing.

Before that, a stunning strike from Peter Gwargis had sealed a 1-0 win over Arsenal on the south coast in Premier League 2 Division 1, and the Swede was also on target a week earlier in a 1-1 draw away to Wolves at Compton Park.

Tonight’s opposition come into the game off the back of a 3-2 win away to Newcastle United in their last outing in the Premier League International Cup, while the side’s last league contest was a 3-1 win over Leicester City in the middle of last month.
