Potter’s men begin a busy day of Premier League action when they host Chelsea in a New Year’s Day clash at the Amex.
Albion head into the game following a 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, thanks to strikes from Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Aaron Mooy, with both players scoring their first goals for the club.

Frank Lampard’s side were also victorious last time out, after recovering from a goal down to beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave the Gunners the lead, but two strikes in the final ten minutes from Jorginho and Tammy Abraham earned the Blues all three points.

Saturday 4th January: Albion v Sheffield Wednesday, kick-off 3.01pm
Albion’s Emirates FA Cup campaign begins with the visit of Garry Monk’s Sheffield Wednesday side to the Amex.
The Seagulls progressed all the way to the semi-finals last season, after overcoming AFC Bournemouth, West Bromwich Albion, Derby County and Millwall, ahead of a narrow 1-0 defeat to eventual winners Manchester City at Wembley.
It was Albion’s best showing in 36 years, when the club progressed to the final in 1983, when they faced Manchester United.

Sunday 5th January: Albion v Liverpool, kick-off 2pm
Hope Powell’s team play their first match of 2020 after the Christmas break with the visit of Liverpool to The People’s Pension Stadium.
Albion head into the game looking to bounce back from a 5-0 defeat to title-chasing Manchester City last time out, and face a Reds team that lies one place and three points below them in tenth place.
Liverpool have recorded three draws and seven defeats from their ten FAWSL fixtures so far, while Powell’s side will be targeting their second win of the season after overcoming Birmingham City 3-0 back in November.
