The young Irishman put in another tireless display upfront and is eager to create similar memories like this one during his career.

He said, “Any 19-year-old playing in the Premier League would have to pinch themselves, especially playing here at the Emirates.

“I came here when I was six or seven with my dad to watch Arsenal, because I grew up supporting them. To then play in front of that crowd is mad. It’s about getting more moments like this and building on them.”

The forward said that this performance and result had been on the cards for a while, particularly after the impressive display against Liverpool the previous weekend.

“Obviously to get three points was brilliant, especially after last week, when we could’ve got one or even three points.

“We need to build on this now, as we’ve got another game on Sunday, and then we’ve got Palace the week after. I’d enjoy it a bit more if I got more goals, but as long as the team is winning, it’s fine.

“I’m just happy to contribute in whatever way I can. If I can contribute without scoring, then I’ll take that, but it would be nice to chip in with a few to help the team out.”
