Albion’s head coach was pleased with the way his team started the second half, after a testing opening 45 minutes.
He said, “I thought we started the second half really, really well and if anything by that point, the team were looking like we might do something.
“The manner of their goal just sums up the difference, they broke well and created problems from our set-plays.
“Their speed on the counter-attack was very impressive, but we did a lot well in the game, just not enough. In the end, Leicester had opportunities and chances on the break.”
They took two of those opportunities, as goals from Ayoze Perez and a twice-taken Jamie Vardy penalty gave the visitors the win.

Potter was impressed by Leicester, and particularly their first-half display, adding, “They started better than us. We had to dig in and you could see their confidence starting the game.
“We weren’t quite at the same level, but we hung in there and grew into the game, without really being that good.
"The second half, we were better and on the front foot. We picked up some really good spaces and we were on the front foot and attacking.
“On one of our corners, they broke, and it was with such pace. That was a disappointment from our perspective, given how we conceded the goal.”
Potter felt the penalty awarded to Leicester for a foul by Adam Webster on Demarai Gray was ‘soft’, but did admit it wasn’t the reason Albion lost.
“It was soft. It didn’t look the strongest penalty in the world, sometimes they go for you and sometimes they don’t. That’s not the reason why we lost the game.
“We’re disappointed with the result, of course, because you don’t want to lose, but at the same time you have to put it into perspective.
“Leicester are up there for a reason and they’re a good team, we had a really good spell in the second half where we more than matched them.
“I was really pleased with that, but it wasn’t enough. Again, the way we conceded the goal probably sums up the difference and, in the end, their attacking play and certainly counter-attacking play, was very impressive.”
