The week ahead: Five games in five competitions!

A bumper week of Albion action is in store, with five games across five different competitions for the club’s men’s, women’s and under-23 teams.

Albion are back at the Amex on Saturday.

The busy schedule kicks off on Tuesday with a match along the Sussex coast at The Pilot Field, as Albion take on Hastings United in the Sussex Senior Cup.

Tuesday 19th November: Hastings United v Albion under-23s, kick-off 7.45pm

Simon Rusk’s team begin their Sussex Senior Cup campaign against the high-flying Isthmian League South East side, who head into the match buoyed after a 3-1 win over Phoenix Sports Club on Saturday.

The tie was originally scheduled to take place a week earlier on 12th November, but was rearranged after Hastings had to play an FA Trophy replay against Whitehawk instead on that day.

U21 highlights: Orient 1 Albion 1 (Orient win on pens)

For Rusk’s side, it will be their first match in 13 days, since the Leasing.com Trophy match away at Leyton Orient on 6th November. The two teams shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, but Orient claimed the extra point on offer after winning the subsequent penalty shootout 4-2.

Albion reached the semi-finals of the Sussex Senior Cup last season, where they were beaten 5-1 by eventual winners, Bognor Regis Town.

Tickets will be available to purchase on the gate at The Pilot Field, and are priced at £8 for adults, £5 for concessions, while under-16s can gain free entry.

Wednesday 20th November: London Bees v Albion women, kick-off 7.45pm

Hope Powell’s side are in Continental League Cup action this Wednesday with a match against the Women’s Championship side at The Hive.

It is Albion’s fourth match of the group stages following a 3-0 win away to Charlton Athletic, a 2-1 defeat at home to Bristol City, and a 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Arsenal with the score level at 0-0 after 90 minutes.

Albion 0 Arsenal 0 (Albion win on pens)

Those three results leave the Seagulls third in the group with five points from three matches, two points behind City in the second qualification spot in the group. Meanwhile, the Bees lie fourth with five points, and trail Albion only by goal difference.

Tickets for the match can be booked online now, and are priced at £4 for adults, £2 for concessions and £1 for under-17s.

Friday 22nd November: Albion under-23s v Liverpool under-23s, kick-off 7pm

Rusk’s side face their second match in the space of four days when they welcome Liverpool to the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in a Premier League 2 Division 1 encounter.

Albion’s last PL2 match came in the form of a 4-1 win against Southampton at their Staplewood Training Ground, as goals from Alex Cochrane, Danny Cashman and a brace from Taylor Richards secured an emphatic victory.

U23 highlights: Southampton 1 Albion 4

The Seagulls sit fifth in the table heading into the game with 15 points from 10 games, two points and two places above the Reds, who lie seventh with 13 points from the same number of matches played.

Tickets for the match have now sold out.

Saturday 23rd November: Albion v Leicester City, kick-off 3pm

Graham Potter’s side return to Premier League action on Saturday when they welcome second-place Leicester to the Amex.

Albion will be looking to bounce back following a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United last time out, whereas the Foxes head into the game searching for a fifth consecutive win after overcoming Arsenal 2-0 in their last match.

The Seagulls currently sit 11th in the Premier League table, seven points clear of Watford in the bottom three.

Tickets for the game are now available to those with an Amex purchase history via the season-ticket exchange, but please note that these can only be bought at the adult price.

Sunday 24th November: Manchester United women v Albion women, kick-off 12pm

The busy week of Albion action concludes at Leigh Sports Village with a FA Women’s Super League match away at Manchester United.

Albion head into the game looking to build on an impressive 3-0 win over Birmingham City last time out, which came courtesy of Kayleigh Green’s brace and a goal from Lea Le Garrec.

United’s run of three consecutive league victories came to an end on Sunday after a 1-0 defeat to league leaders Chelsea.

Advance tickets for the match are on sale now and priced at £6 for adults and £3 for over-65s/under-16s. These prices increase to £6.50 and £3.50 on the day in both categories.
