Connolly out of Ireland games

Aaron Connolly has pulled out of the Republic of Ireland’s upcoming games against New Zealand and Denmark.

Earlier today Connolly had a scan on a groin problem, which forced him off at half-time in the match against Manchester United yesterday.

Ireland boss Mick McCarthy explained, “Our team doctor Alan Byrne has spoken to the Brighton medical team and had a look at the scans. 

“The scans have confirmed the groin injury and Aaron won’t be ready in time for New Zealand and Denmark.”
