Ryan missed out on last season’s trip to Old Trafford after being away on Asian Cup duty with Australia, and the shot-stopper is eager to prove himself against one of the world’s most famous clubs.
He said,“It’s a mouth-watering game that I’m very much looking forward to. I missed the away fixture last year, but I remember it was such a great occasion in my first season here, as it’s one of the most renowned grounds in the world.
“There’s an exciting aspect about coming up against one of the biggest teams in the world, and it’s a little bit sweeter when you beat one of the top-six sides.
“It gives you the best feeling, and to have that opportunity again is one of the rewards of playing in one of the best leagues in the world. I’m very much looking forward to the challenge.”

The Seagulls shot-stopper has kept four clean sheets in the Premier League this season, and says that the whole team deserves credit for an impressive record at the back so far this campaign.
“That stat came out the other day. It’s nice recognition for how the team has been performing. If we can keep playing in that way then hopefully we’ll rack up quite a few more clean sheets.
“A wise man once told me that strikers win you games, but clean sheets win you trophies. We’ll keep working on that basis, and if we continue to get more, then I have full confidence that we will create enough chances to score goals and get more wins.”

Albion head into Sunday’s match sitting eighth in the Premier League, but Ryan says it’s important not to get carried away with the hype, and use the momentum from their most recent performances in the Premier League.
“We’ve been riding a bit of a wave at the moment, but all it takes is one sloppy performance and it can all turn around again.
“We’re very much aware of that and we have set ourselves the standards that we need to keep. We know it’s not going to be easy going to a ground like Old Trafford, but we’re all ready for the challenge, based on our most recent performances.”
