Graham Potter faces a selection dilemma on Saturday.

Mooy received two yellow cards in the game at Villa Park at the weekend, and that leaves Potter needing to make at least one change, with Trossard now available to fill the void left by the Australian.

He said, “He’s [Trossard] only had a week’s training, so that’s why we thought he’d need a bit more time before going into that situation [away match at Aston Villa].

“We’ll see how this week goes, so hopefully he’ll have another full week’s training, and we can make an assessment then.”

Leandro Trossard and Solly March are both options for Potter.

The Belgian midfielder has been ruled out of action since picking up a groin injury while on international duty with his country last month, and made his last appearance for the Seagulls in a 4-0 defeat away at Manchester City.

March has also returned to boost Potter’s options on the flanks, after featuring in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa following his recovery from a minor thigh problem.

It leaves Potter with plenty of options at his disposal heading into the weekend, with only Bernardo and Jose Izquierdo currently ruled out through injury.

Albion fans can expect to hear an update on the duo’s progress at Thursday’s pre-match Everton press conference.
