The midfielder, who is currently away on international duty with Australia, produced a superb performance in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the Amex and spoke about how happy he currently is with life both on and off the field.

He said, “I feel good at the moment and sharper each and every day.

“I always try my best and sometimes it does take time to adapt to new things, but I feel good at the moment and I’ll keep fighting to get better with every week.

“It’s a new style for a lot of people here and it’s one I like. It’s the most enjoyable way to play football when you have the ball, and that’s what we want as players - when it goes like it did at the weekend, it makes it even more enjoyable.

“I feel settled down here now, it took a few weeks to get into a place, but my family is here with me and are enjoying it too, so that makes me happy.”

The resounding victory at the weekend leaves the Seagulls in 14th position in the Premier League heading into the international break, and Mooy highlighted the side’s positive approach from the first whistle.

“It was perfect and it’s a great day for all of us, we’ve been close over the weeks, but we deserved the win,” he continued.

“The intent from the start was really good and we wanted to get on the front foot, so it all came together nicely for us.

“It gives us something to really build on and more belief in what we’re trying to do. If we play to our top ability, then we can beat anyone in this league.”
