George Cox and Fortuna Sittard beat Feyenoord at the weekend.

Cox and his side inflicted only a second defeat of the season on Feyenoord, running out 4-2 winners as a brace from Amadou Ciss and a goal each from Cian Harries and Bassala Sambou gave the hosts their first three points of the season.

In Germany, Viktor Gyokeres scored his second goal in as many matches for FC St Pauli, as the second tier side drew 1-1 away to Nurnberg. It was a game which also saw Leo Ostigard play 90 minutes and get another point on the board, as the Albion pair's loan club stay fifth in the table.

Elsewhere in Europe, Florin Andone played 86 minutes of Galatasary’s 0-0 draw away to Genclerbirligi SK, and Percy Tau and Club Brugge continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 4-0 home win over Gent, a result which keeps them three points clear at the top of the Belgian Pro League.

There were three matches which saw Albion players come up against one another in the EFL.

Jayson Molumby helped Millwall to an impressive 2-1 victory over Leeds United at The Den, with Ben White on the opposing side, in what was a fiery game in South London – goals from Jed Wallace and Tom Bradshaw meant it was the Lions who claimed the three points.

Elsewhere in the same division, Matt Clarke helped Derby County to a home win and a clean sheet, as the Rams beat Luton Town 2-0, thanks to a Matty Pearson own goal and Tom Lawrence’s effort 20 minutes from time.

Jan Mlakar played the final eight minutes of QPR’s 4-2 win at home to Blackburn Rovers at Loftus Road, with fellow Albion loanee Christian Walton in goal for the away side.

In League One, AFC Wimbledon hosted Rochdale at Kingsmeadow. Robert Sanchez kept goal for the visitors, but it was Max Sanders and the home side who were the happier at full time as the Dons won an entertaining contest 3-2.

In south America, Alexis MacAllister played 68 minutes of Boca Juniors’ 1-0 win away to Defensia y Justicia as the side kept up their unbeaten start to the league season and stayed at the summit of the Argentinian top-flight.

Back on home soil, in non-league, James Tilley was a second half substitute for Yeovil Town in their 2-1 defeat away to Hartlepool United, Roco Rees and Worthing FC were on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline at home to East Thurrock United and Kacper Lopata and Whitehawk fell to a 2-1 loss away to Faversham Town.
