The midfielder, who made his Premier League debut against Newcastle United last month, received 53% of the vote for his man-of-the-match performance in the televised clash on Tyneside.
The 21-year-old beat off competition from Maty Ryan, who was nominated for his performance against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and received 32% of the vote, and Neal Maupay, who received 15% for his performance in the 1-1 draw with Burnley at the Amex, a match which included his first goal on home soil for the Seagulls.
Alzate made his senior debut back in August against Bristol Rovers in the Carabao Cup, and also started last weekend's game away to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
