Albion are currently unbeaten in the WSL, drawing both of their first two matches – opening the season with a goalless draw against Bristol City, before coming close to beating Chelsea, only to concede an equaliser in stoppage time.

Both sides were in Continental League Cup action last weekend, and Hope Powell’s side secured their first win of the season, defeating Charlton Athletic 3-0. Ini Umotong's header and two Kayleigh Green penalties ensured Albion came away with three points to get their Group B campaign off to a perfect start.

Also in Group B, Arsenal were in action against London City Lionesses and claimed a 5-0 victory over the Women’s Championship side. The Gunners also had to contend with a midweek Champions League fixture as they entertained Italian side Fiorentina in London.

Goals from Vivianne Miedema and Kim Little saw Arsenal win 2-0 on the night and 6-0 on aggregate. Albion will hope their clear week since last weekend’s match will be a factor that goes in their favour on the day.
