Victoria Williams had the game’s best chance, but she was unable to convert from the penalty spot, while Megan Walsh stood up to her debut test by making some fine saves at the other end.
Chelsea managed to get their hands on an opening day win, overcoming London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Many Albion fans will be able to cast their eyes over the new summer arrivals for the first time this afternoon, with all four players in contention to make their home debuts after some impressive performances in last weekend’s match.
Lea Le Garrec showed impressive quality in midfield and looked to create chances at every available opportunity.
Megan Walsh pulled off a number of fine saves to keep her clean sheet intact, while Matilde Lundorf put in a powerful performance at right back.
World Cup finalist Danique Kerkdijk had to wait a little longer to make her Albion bow, appearing off the bench as a 78th minute substitute at Ashton Gate, and saw out the increasing attacking threat from the hosts well.
