The week ahead: Premier League action and a Chelsea double

There are three Albion games in as many days at the end of this week, as Graham Potter’s men return to Premier League action and the club’s under-23 and women’s teams take on Chelsea.

Here are the games to look out for this week.

U21 Highlights: AFC Wimbledon 0 Albion 2

Friday 13th September: Chelsea under-23s v Albion under-23s, kick-off 7pm

Simon Rusk’s side return their attention back to the Premier League 2 campaign with a match against current league leaders, Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Seagulls have two wins and two defeats from their opening four league games to date, beating both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City 2-0 and 3-0, alongside 2-1 and 5-3 losses to Arsenal and Blackburn Rovers respectively.

Rusk’s team will be heading into the game on a high though after beginning the Leasing.com Trophy group stages with an impressive 2-0 win away at AFC Wimbledon, thanks to an own goal and Bojan Radulovic’s strike.

Saturday 14th September: Albion v Burnley, kick-off 3pm

The Premier League returns after a two-week break, and Potter’s men will be eager to bounce back against Burnley after back-to-back defeats against Southampton and Manchester City.

Both Albion and the Clarets have four points from their opening four games, heading into what will be the third Premier League clash between the two sides at the Amex.

Tickets for the game are available now, and prices start from £30 for adults and £15 for under-18s.

There is also a members' and season ticket guest offer for the game, which includes one ticket for £25 or two for £45.

This is available in the south stand and Block E1H only, and is subject to availability. The offer expires at 5pm on Wednesday 11th September.

Women highlights: Bristol City 0 Albion 0

Sunday 15th September: Albion v Chelsea, kick-off 2pm

Chelsea are the opposition again on Sunday, this time for Hope Powell’s team, who play their first home match of the FA Women’s Super League season.

Albion head into the game on the back of a creditable goalless draw away at Bristol City at Ashton Gate, which saw Megan Walsh, Matilde Lundorf, Lea Le Garrec and Danique Kerkdijk all make their debuts.

Sunday’s opponents started their FAWSL campaign with 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in front of over 24,000 fans at Stamford Bridge, thanks to Bethany England’s fourth-minute strike.
