Albion fan Caroline Sturtridge was surprised on her doorstep by players Emily Simpkins and Victoria Williams last week, who personally delivered her season ticket.
When season tickets went on sale back in June, Caroline was the first fan to snap hers up for the 2019/20 season. A dedicated Seagulls supporter, she follows both Albion’s men’s and women’s teams – also holding a season ticket at the Amex.
To make the day even more special, Simpkins and Williams also presented Caroline with a special pack, which included an Albion scarf, wristband and the autographs of the players and manager Hope Powell.
The players were then invited into Caroline’s home to look at her gift in more detail and chat about the season ahead, where it was all smiles after the initial shock.
Speaking about her surprise Caroline said, “I was very shocked and not expecting it at all, and to see the players was fantastic. I’d like to thank the club and the players for visiting, it was a real treat and surprise!”
Albion defender Victoria Williams added, “It was nice to see the surprise on her face. It’s not very often that you get players delivering a season card and I hope it goes a bit of a way to show our appreciation of their investment, in terms of their support, to the club.”
