Leandro Trossard will be fit for the game against Leicester City on Saturday.

Trossard was named in the Red Devils squad for their upcoming UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers against San Marino and Scotland before being ruled out of both games due to injury, but hopes that his move to Albion will enhance his long-term international prospects.

He said, “It would mean a lot to me, as it’s always nice to go to the national side and every player wants to represent their country.

“It’s one of the reasons I made the move, this could be a big season for me and I knew moving to England would help my international aims. I think it’s going well but I can always improve.”

Leandro Trossard celebrates scoring on his Albion debut.

Trossard was speaking after Saturday’s defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, and said the side could take plenty of positives from their courageous display against last season's title-winners.

“It’s a tough place to come against one of the best sides in Europe, but I think we did well overall and stuck to trying to play our game,” he continued.

“It’s even more difficult when they score so early, but I think we still created some chances.

“We can learn from their ruthlessness in terms of chances, their decision making is very quick, and we can take that away too.”
