Preview: Albion take on Gunners in Friday night action

Our under-23 side will be looking to make it two wins from as many matches for the new Premier League 2 Division 1 season when they travel to face Arsenal tonight, kick-off 7pm.

Aaron Connolly's brace gave the young Seagulls a 2-0 win over newly-promoted Wolves on Monday evening at The People’s Pension Stadium, and now Rusk’s men travel to north London looking to continue their perfect start to the new season.

The opposition:

Steve Bould’s side kicked off their 2019/20 campaign with a 3-1 win away to Blackburn Rovers on Monday evening.

Folarin Balogun hit a hat-trick of penalties on the night in Lancashire, as the Gunners came from behind to secure victory after Stefan Mols had given the hosts an early lead.

Last year Arsenal finished one place and two points above the Seagulls, ending the season in second position on 37 points.  The side won their four final matches of the season to overtake Rusk’s men and finish runners-up behind champions Everton.

The form:

2-0 v Wolves (H)

1-2 v Chelsea (H)

0-1 v Everton (A)

3-1 Blackburn (A)

3-0 Leicester City (H)

3-1 Chelsea (A)
