The draw is due to be televised live on Sky Sports, with either Salford or Leeds joining Albion in the hat for round two.
Graham Potter’s side are one of 13 Premier League clubs not participating in European competition to enter the draw, alongside Fulham and Cardiff City from the Championship.
The Seagulls were beaten 1-0 at home by Southampton in round two of last season’s competition, as Charlie Austin scored a late 88th-minute winner at the Amex.
The second round draw will be regionalised once again, and will be split into northern and southern sections, with the fixtures due to take place the week commencing 26th August.
