Var To Be Used In West Brom Cup Tie

By Alex Stedman • 16 January 2019

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Emirates FA Cup fourth-round tie against West Bromwich Albion at the Amex Stadium on Saturday 26th January, kick-off 3.00pm, will see the use of Video Assistant Referees.

It will be the fifth time Albion have been involved in a contest which will use VAR.

Albion's Carabao Cup tie against Southampton and the game at AFC Bournemouth in the previous round of the FA Cup have already seen the technology used this season.

Two matches were chosen to include VAR in Albion's run to the quarter-finals of the competition last season - as Chris Hughton's side came up against Crystal Palace and Manchester United.
