Fa Wsl Dual Career Academy Open Trials

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Women’s Dual Career Academy (DCA) programme (post-16) are holding open trials ahead of the new 2019/20 season.
 
The club is inviting aspiring footballers the chance to try out to become part of the under-20s programme, which currently runs in conjunction with Worthing College.
 
The programme offers talented young players (aged 16-20 years) the chance to combine their education with expert coaching, to allow them to develop the skills necessary to become a professional. 
 
Worthing College are able to offer a range of qualifications, including BTEC and A-level courses. More information on the courses available can be found here
 
The club is also accepting applications from players that are educated in a variety of other post-16 programmes, several of which are within host families through their education networks, allowing players to study alongside their football with greater ease.
 
Women’s first-team assistant manager, Amy Merricks said, “Through the programme, the players will have access to over 12 hours of weekly training/game play sessions, video analysis, strength and conditioning, educational workshops as well as competing in The FA’s National Academy League. 
 
“At Brighton & Hove Albion we are committed to developing home grown players with ample opportunity for players to train with the women’s first team whenever possible.”
 
Trials for the Brighton & Hove Albion FA WSL Dual Career Academy will be held at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, 60 Mash Barn Lane, Lancing, BN15 9FP (Sat Nav: BN15 9EG) with registration from 12.45pm. 
 
The dates for trials are as follows:
 
•Sunday 5th May 2019, 1pm-4pm
•Sunday 19th May 2019, 1pm-4pm
