Propper Set For Nations League Final

08 June 2019

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder, Davy Propper, could feature for the Netherlands when they face Portugal in the UEFA Nations League Final this evening.

Propper came on as a substitute in the closing stages of the 3-1 win against England on Thursday, and Ronald Koeman’s side will now be looking to defeat the hosts to become the first Nations League champions.

Portugal secured their place in the final when Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick inspired a 3-1 victory against Switzerland on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, Aaron Connolly and Jayson Molumby could play for Republic of Ireland’s under-21s when they face Bahrain in their final group stages match of the Toulon Tournament.

Ireland have four points from their opening two games following a 4-1 win over China and a hard-fought goalless draw with Mexico. Another victory for Stephen Kenny’s side will secure a place in the semi-finals.

Kipras Kazukolovas was an unused substitute in Lithuania’s 3-0 under-21 win against San Marino on Wednesday and the defender will hope to play against Latvia in another friendly today.
