Brighton & Hove Albion has added its support to a global awareness campaign and is encouraging fans to ‘Create, Connect and Share Respect’ to help make the internet a better place this Safer Internet Day, when the Seagulls host West Ham United this afternoon.

On Tuesday 6th February 2018, millions across the UK and globally will be celebrating Safer Internet Day and Albion has pledged its support along with hundreds of schools and organisations across the UK.

Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre, the day is a great opportunity to talk to your family and friends about the responsible, respectful, critical and creative use of technology, and to remember that ‘a better internet starts with you’.

Seagulls supporters should look out for special messages from players and management on our social media channels and at half-time on the big screen at the Amex Stadium on Saturday against the Hammers.

There’s also a full-page feature on Safer Internet Day in this weekend’s matchday magazine, and a team of Albion staff will be handing out a Safer Internet quiz around the concourses and inside the ground to generate conversation about staying safe on the internet.

Visit the UK Safer Internet Centre website (www.saferinternet.org.uk) where you can take the Safer Internet Day quiz, see what’s happening on the day, and find out more about what you can do to help your friends and family stay safe online.

Together we can create a better internet
