Hemed And Kayal Earn Israel Call-ups

By Kieran Cleeves • 15 March 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion pair Tomer Hemed and Beram Kayal have been included in Israel’s squad for an upcoming training camp and friendly against Romania.

The Israeli duo have collected 61 caps between one another over the years, with Kayal looking to earn his 32nd cap, while Hemed goes in search of his 31st later this month.

Kayal’s last appearance came against Italy in September 2016, but the 29-year-old missed the remainder of Israel’s World Cup qualifying campaign due to injury.

Hemed scored three goals during the qualifying stage, against Liechtenstein and Macedonia, and last featured for his country in their 1-0 defeat to Spain in October 2017.

The Seagulls pair will link up with their international team-mates after Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup game against Manchester United, before Israel’s friendly against Romania on Saturday 24th March at the Netanya Stadium.
