Doncaster Game Moved To Stadium

By Kieran Cleeves • 26 March 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion’s FA Women’s Super League 2 fixture against fellow title contenders Doncaster Rovers Belles has been moved from Culver Road to the Stadium.

Hope Powell’s team will meet the current FA WSL 2 league leaders on the original date, Sunday 22nd April, kick-off 2pm - but the Seagulls will play their first game at the home of Crawley Town, ahead of next season’s plans to compete there.

Following Albion’s successful application to play in the top tier of the women’s football pyramid, the FA WSL 1, the team will be playing all home matches at the Stadium from the start of next season.

Doncaster inflicted one of Albion’s two defeats in the league so far this campaign, and Neil Redfearn’s team find themselves unbeaten in their 11 league matches, seven points ahead of the Seagulls.

With Chris Hughton’s first team scheduled to have the weekend without a Premier League game, the match provides a perfect opportunity for the club’s supporters to get their football fix at the Stadium instead.
