Pascal Gross capped off a memorable first season in English football, after he fought off competition from Lewis Dunk to claim the Player of the Season award.

The German claimed 36% of the fans’ votes and was presented with the award tonight at the club’s annual Players’ Awards Dinner.

Dunk claimed second place with 18% of the vote, finishing just above goalkeeper Mathew Ryan in third, as he claimed 16% of the votes cast.

Dunk still picked up an award though, as he claimed the Players’ Player of the Season prize that was voted for by members of the first-team playing squad.

Next up was the Goal of the Season award, which Jose Izquierdo claimed for his stunning long-range solo effort in the effort in the 3-1 victory over West Ham United.

Albion captain Bruno picked up the Sarah Watts Inspiration award for his excellent career at the club to date, following on from the news of his one-year contract that was confirmed earlier this month.

Danielle Buet was chosen by Hope Powell and her coaching staff as the Women’s Player of the Season, after a string of impressive performances in the club’s first full FA WSL 2 campaign.

Lifelong Albion supporter Ken Valder took home the James Brynin Fan of the Season award, due to his work as a Matchday ‘Here to Help’ assistant and volunteering efforts for a local charity.

Tate Willis was the chosen recipient of the Albion in the Community award after impressing the charity’s coaches at junior amputee football sessions, and is now a regular at elite sessions for junior players with a disability.
