The dates for Brighton & Hove Albion’s three Checkatrade Trophy group stage matches have now been confirmed.
An Albion under-21 side will face Luton Town, MK Dons and Peterborough United in this season’s group stage, with all three matches taking place away from home.
This is the third time Albion will compete in the competition after reaching the third round in 2016/17, but Simon Rusk's team were knocked out in the group stage of last season’s competition, despite claiming a penalty shootout victory over Oxford United.
Albion’s first opponents in this year’s competition will be Luton Town, who are managed by former Seagulls player and coach, Nathan Jones. The game will take place at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday 4th September, kick-off 7.45pm.
Simon Rusk’s side then face Peterborough United at the ABAX Stadium on Tuesday 9th October, kick-off 7.45pm, before concluding the group stage against MK Dons at Stadium:MK on Tuesday 13th November, also with a 7.45pm kick-off time.
Further information, including ticket details for all three games will be confirmed in due course.
