Loan Deals For Mcgill And Tomlinson

By James Hilsum • 31 August 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion under-23 duo Joseph Tomlinson and Tom McGill have joined Bognor Regis Town and Greenwich Borough respectively on loan.

The defender and goalkeeper have both signed deals with the two clubs until 4th January 2019.

Under-23 coach Simon Rusk said, “This is a good opportunity for both Joe and Tom to get some valuable experience playing senior first-team football.

“I am sure that both players will learn plenty from their time out on loan, and we will keep a close eye on their progress.”

Tomlinson’s move to Albion was confirmed in May, and he signed a one-year deal in July following the end of his contract at Yeovil Town.

McGill was one of four players to progress through to the under-23 squad this season, along with Alex Cochrane, Aaron Connolly and Stefan Ljubicic.

The shot-stopper has represented England up to under-17 level, where he has earned six caps.
