Aitc's Marathon With A Difference

By Richard Morris • 17 October 2018

Albion in the Community has teamed up Sussex Trail Events to organise a marathon with a difference at the Amex.

The club’s official charity is encouraging Brighton & Hove Albion fans to take part and run 62 times around the stadium, the equivalent to 26.2 miles, with the event scheduled for Sunday 28th October.

Almost 100 people have already signed up and proceeds from the event will help fund AITC’s award-winning work across Sussex.

There is also a half marathon option taking place on the same day and all finishers will receive a bespoke medal.

This is the latest challenge to form part of AITC’s 2018/19 fundraising campaign: Get Active for AITC. The charity launched the campaign in the hope of raising £100,000 by the start of next season; AITC is also challenging its supporters to cover a combined 10,000 miles in the same period of time.

Fans can book their marathon or half marathon place online now.

Or for those supporters not feeling quite so energetic, AITC is holding its annual quiz night on 8th November.

Tickets for the event, which is once again being held at the American Express Community Stadium, are on sale now priced £15, which includes a pie and mash dinner.

Fans can register their team (maximum of six people) now by emailing: fundraising@albioninthecommunity.org.uk.
