International Call-ups For Green And Hourihan

06 November 2018

Two more Brighton & Hove Albion players have been selected for international duty, with Kayleigh Green and Marie Hourihan called up to the Wales and Republic of Ireland squads respectively.

Green has been named as one of 26 players in the Jayne Ludlow’s squad for a double header against Portugal, with the matches taking place on 10th and 13th November.

It will be Green’s first international action since Wales narrowly missed out on a place at next year’s 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, following a 3-0 defeat to England in August.

Meanwhile, Hourihan is one of 20 players to be included in Colin Bell’s squad for a week-long training camp at the FAI National Training Centre in Abbotstown next week.

The camp will serve as preparation for Ireland’s three international friendlies against Belgium, Wales and Italy in 2019, before they begin their European Championships qualifying campaign in September next year.
