Martin Perry is executive director of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club and chief executive of The Community Stadium Ltd, the company that is responsible for the design and building of the American Express Community Stadium, and the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre.

He was part of the original consortium that purchased the club in 1997 and became chief executive in 1999, a position he held for 13 years until 2012.

Off the pitch, Martin led the team through a ten-year battle to gain planning permission for the new American Express Community Stadium and had overall responsibility for the design and construction of the £120 million development.

Most recently, Martin led the team which gained planning permission for a state-of-the-art new training facility at Lancing and then held overall responsibility for the design construction and delivery of the £32 million project, which once again was delivered on time and within its original budget.

Martin is also chairman of the board of trustees of Albion in the Community, the club’s official charity. He has been instrumental in developing Albion in the Community to the position it is today, reaching out to more than 46,000 people every year, using the power of football and the popularity of the club to deliver high-quality, accessible opportunities that improve the health and wellbeing, education and aspirations of our community.
