Carl Martin

Men's Under-18 head coach

Carl Martin was appointed men’s under-18s head coach in July 2026.

The former defender turned out for the likes of Crewe Alexandra, Macclesfield and Wealdstone, before beginning his coaching career with Watford’s academy.

He moved to Southampton in January 2019, working with their under-18s before stepping up to first team duties in June 2022.

He departed Saints in November 2025.

Steve Menzies

Under-18s Assistant Coach

Youth Development Phase Coach Steve worked in the club’s foundation for ten years as a lead coach after joining in 2012.

Since then, he has worked in our academy in a number of roles including professional lead development coach since September 2025 and assistant head coach in the under-18s.

Tomer Hemed

Under-18s Assistant Coach

Tomer returned to the club in August 2024 to take up a mentoring role in the club’s academy.

He joined Albion in June 2015 from Almeria and went on to score 33 goals in 108 appearances for the club.

After departing the Amex, he played for for Charlton Athletic and A-League sides Wellington Phoenix and Western Sydney Wanderers before returning to Israel to play for Hapoel Be’er Sheva and Maccabi Haifa.
