We are pleased to confirm the appointment of Zoe Johnson to the Women’s & Girls' Board, which oversees the club’s subsidiary company for women’s and girls’ football.

Michelle Walder, Women's and Girls’ board chair said, "For more than three years Zoe has played a pivotal role in shaping our women’s and girls’ programme. Her leadership, expertise and commitment have made a tremendous impact, most recently in helping to guide our club to its first women’s FA Cup Final. We are delighted to welcome Zoe formally to the Women’s and Girls’ board."

Continuing to report to the club’s chief executive and deputy chairman, Paul Barber, as a member of the club’s strategic leadership group, Zoe has served as managing director of women’s and girls’ football at Brighton & Hove Albion since November 2022.

During this time Zoe has helped strengthen the club's professional infrastructure, supported the ongoing development of the women's and girls' pathway and played a key role in ensuring the programme is well positioned for long-term success.

Zoe has also been instrumental in shaping the club's long-term vision for women's and girls' football, including the development of Built For Her, the proposed 10,000-capacity stadium that will provide a permanent home for Albion women next to the American Express Stadium, and represents one of the most significant investments in the women's game anywhere in Europe.

Paul Barber said, "Zoe’s appointment to the women’s and girls’ board is thoroughly deserved and reflects both the progress that women’s and girls’ football has made under her leadership at our club and the important role she will continue to play in shaping its future at Brighton & Hove Albion. Bringing extensive experience from senior leadership, coaching and technical roles across the women's game, including time as general manager at Sheffield United and as technical director at Liverpool, Zoe’s appointment to Brighton & Hove Albion’s women’s and girls’ board comes at a pivotal moment for the club’s domestic and European ambitions.
