Yasin Ayari scored for Sweden as the Albion midfielder helped his country continue their fine start to the Nations League.

Ayari had already seen a curler touched behind in the second half before he got his 63rd-minute goal in the 3-1 win over Poland in Stockholm on Monday, this time bending his shot into the bottom corner after ghosting past Sebastian Szymanski.

Ayari played 89 minutes having had the whole game on Friday in the 2-1 win against Romania.

Sweden now prepare to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday before moving on to Romania.

Elsewhere in the Nations League, Maxim De Cuyper and Ferdi Kadioglu were both on the bench as Belgium and Turkey played their second game of the current international window.

De Cuyper played the final quarter of a 1-0 home defeat by France while Kadioglu did not get on in a 4-1 home defeat by Italy.

James Beadle helped England move to within one win of qualification for next year’s U21 EURO Championship with a 4-2 victory over Kazakhstan at Molineux. Another Albion player, Amario Cozier-Duberry, was an unused substitute. Victory over Slovakia on Friday will secure England’s place at the finals.

Freddie Simmonds, who is spending the season on loan with AFC Wimbledon, was an unused substitute for England U19s when they made a winning start to their September and October international camp with a 1-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland at St George’s Park.

This was the first of four friendlies for England during this international window. They are now in Marbella where they will face Norway, USA and Belgium as they continue to prepare for the U19 EURO qualifiers later this year.
