Albion's WU19s finished 2025 with an impressive 2-1 win against Chelsea in Division One of the PGA League.
Patience Fergus’s prolific form in front of goal continued. She scored a brace in 14 second-half minutes after Albion went a goal down midway through the first half.
Grace McEwen made her return to football after 11 months on the sidelines with an ACL injury, coming on in the 72nd minute to help the team secure the three points.
Head coach Dani Bowman said, “It was a really good response after last week's defeat to Manchester United. In the first half we were under a bit more pressure and Chelsea created a few chances but in the second half there was a good response from the girls. Collectively all of them had a superb attitude on and off the ball.
“After the break we were more ruthless in the box and scored two great goals. Patience played well and I'm happy for her because I know she was frustrated when she missed two chances in the first half.
“Patience’s work rate off the ball, her intensity to press and force errors from their defence was superb. It summed up her season so far. Patience knows where the net is, that is for sure.
“We played Chelsea earlier in the season and were close to getting something from that game. The belief within the group is very high. They have no fear and it is great to see. Everyone stepped up to make an impact."
