Our women’s under-19s put in an impressive performance in their 3-1 win against Bristol Rovers in the FA Women’s National League Plate.
Patience Fergus scored a brace in the first half, before Libby Hester increased Albion’s lead later on in the game.
Head coach Danielle Bowman said, “I’m really pleased with the result. It was another tough challenge against senior opposition and the girls are scoring good team goals which is really pleasing.
“Patience is in a good run of form, but credit also goes to the team for giving her the opportunities. Thankfully this season we have plenty of players contributing in front of goal.
“The cup games have been a different challenge for the girls; they have been playing against ladies who have more experience but also playing away and dealing with fans in an occasion like this is something they don’t experience in the league, so our approach has been slightly different.”
