Our women's under-19s sealed a 4-1 victory against London City Lionesses in the PGA League on Wednesday afternoon.
Libby Hester netted for Albion after 17 minutes before Tahirah Heron, May Balmer and Patience Fergus all scored in the second half to secure the win.
Women's under-19s head coach Danielle Bowman said, “We’re happy for the girls, especially to bounce back after last week’s result.

“It wasn't our best performance. The weather conditions didn't help, and the opposition posed us a lot of challenges that we hadn't faced before.
“I’m really happy that we have four different goal scorers; it shows the depth in the team. Everyone got good minutes as well, and we had some under-16s involved to get exposure.
“We need to keep working on the performances because that probably wasn't the best one we've had, but there were some really nice bits of football.”
The under-19s now head into another three-game week as they face Bristol City, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur, and they’re eager to keep the positive momentum.

“We’re heading into another tough run of games with the league and the National League Cup, so it's another big challenge," Bowman added.
“To have the under-16s in the squad has been crucial. When they've come in, they've done really well. It’s just another opportunity for us to keep developing and growing.
“It’s three different teams we’ll face and three different challenges. now it's just about getting the girls to recover as best as we can.”
