Our women's under-19s will face Arsenal in the semi-final of the PGA Cup this Wednesday at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre.
Albion’s last fixture was also against the Gunners in the PGA League, as we came from two goals down to win 3-2. Goals by Rhianna Fowler, Patience Fergus and Isabella Ranger secured the victory.
Head coach Dani Bowman said, “We did not have a fixture last week and that gave us a chance to work on a lot in training, which was really good.
“The team are looking forward to the game and know the challenge ahead. We played them recently but they might be hungrier after the last time.
“Coming from behind showed the belief of the group. The wins against teams like Arsenal and Chelsea before Christmas solidified that the girls trust themselves, the group and believe that they can get results against tough opposition.

“The team are looking forward to the game and hope we can showcase ourselves well. I think it is important for any young player to get that feeling of winning. It breeds a mentality that you want to win more, hungrier to win trophies.
“We want to get to the final, but we know that there's a big 90 minutes in front of us that the team needs to get through first. We need to make sure we do everything right and stay in the game because previously we went 2-0 down and still secured the three points, but we cannot do that again.
“The staff are really seeing the benefits of some of our players training with the first team, when it comes to these bigger games as they have less fear. If you are against Frank Kirby in training one day, you should not be afraid of anyone else,” added Bowman.
